Faith in the Living Redeemer
Faith in the living Redeemer! (Job 19:25-29)

(Job 19:25-27)
"For I know that my Redeemer (or Vindicator) lives, and at last he will stand upon the earth; and after my skin has been thus destroyed, from my flesh I shall see God, whom I shall see on my side, and my eyes shall behold, and not another. My heart faints within me!"

The meaning of verse 26, "and after my skin has been thus destroyed, from my flesh I shall see God," is not certain, but verse 25 reminds us that God is always with us, and Job, may be speaking of Jesus when he says, "and at last he will stand upon the earth;" For Jesus is the redeemer! If you read the first two chapters of Job, you will better understand what is happening to him.

(Job 19:28-29)
"If you say, 'How we will pursue him!' and, 'The root of the matter is found in him'; be afraid of the sword, for wrath brings the punishment of the sword, that you may know there is a judgment."

Job is telling us that the root of all things we do is the Lord! Seek him in all you do! Some of us have times in our journey with the Lord, when we get down, and wonder if our faith is real. If you find yourself in such a place, look to the Lord, for whether you believe it or not at the time, he is there. Ask him to renew your spirit, and forgive you, and soon you will return to the joy which he give you before! For the Lord is not one to put you down, only the enemy can do that. He does this so he can bring you away from God; so that he can pull you into the pit of fire with him. If you are down, look to your Loving Father, I find even thinking of him, and the kingdom he has prepared for us, gives me joy, when I am having a hard time! I know that sometimes we let things, become more important, without even knowing it. We play games, spend our time thinking about the things we do, or hope to do, does this serve God, I don't believe so. I am convicted by my own words for I do this a lot myself.

"I can do nothing on my own authority; as I hear, I judge; and my judgement is just because I seek not my own will but the will of him who sent me. If I bear witness to myself, my testimony is not true; there is another who bears witness to me, and i know that the testimoy which he bears is true." Jesus
(John 5:30-32)

Jesus reminds us that we can do nothing on our own, for he said, that he can't even do anything by his own authority! That is why he always looked to Our Father for direction, as should we.
