Specific Gifts
Specific gifts (1st Corinthians 12:27-31)

"Now you are the body of Christ and individually members of it. And God has appointed in the church first apostles, second prophets, third teachers, then workers of miracles, then healers, helpers, administrators, speakers in various kinds of tongues. Are all apostles? Are all prophets? Are all teachers? Do all work miracles? Do all possess gifts of healing? DO all speaking with tongues? Do all interpret? But earnestly desire the higher gifts."
1st Corinthians 12:27-31

This passage speaks clearly about the gifts which the holy spirit gives to each one of us. All have different gifts, as it says all are different. I would also add, people who encourage others /lift them up. As we all know some of us are not all meant to be one of these, yet I see some of these things in some people I know, I will not name names, as it is not important. What is important is that we serve the Lord in all we do. Note in all we do, sometimes we do things that God would not like us to do because it does not serve him, I do it myself I am sure. Yet it tells us all to seek higher gifts, yet I believe that God has a positions for all of us. They may be at different levels, but remember, that a house without a foundation will fall. If all were teachers, apostles, or any other of these positions, what would be the point?
